About Me
About Me
Small but Powerful Bio
If I could describe myself in a couple words, I’d call myself a Friendly Geek. When people think about geeks, they get this image in their minds of a guy who sits at a computer all day. I try my best to not emphasize that image. I enjoy getting outside, traveling, and playing sports. On a daily basis, I attempt to balance out life inside and out of my computers. I need to find equilibrium between coding and life. Heh, I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m a computer geek and I’m still a human that enjoys life and its brother fun.
Goals
I want to do a lot of things in my life. During high-school I’d like to learn at least four programming languages I don’t already know, maintain a high grade point average, take as many honors/AP classes I can, maintain a position as a junior developer to PrecisioNix Linux (http://precisionix.localcoast.net/), stay an IRCOP on multiple IRC servers, as well finishing AP Calc AB by senior year. Then eventually, I want to have gone to a four-year college, preferably Berkley. After attending a four year college, I’d like to be a software engineer working at Google. Not only do I want to work at one of the most prestigious companies in the world, I also would like to travel the world, see new things, as well as try new things. I want to have stories to tell my grand-children how I traveled around the world. Heh, overall I’d just like to be a successful software engineer that makes a steady income in the long run.

Online Networks
Some people ask me where I am, when I’m online. So, I populated a list for you. Yes. There are a lot, I update the majority of my online networks with a service called, ping.fm, which provides the things I need, when it comes to the networks it supports, etc. When I go to read all my friend’s updates, I go to a service called, hellotxt. Hellotxt, also supports updates to your own networks and I used to only use this service. I though great, a one stop shop, but. After I was introduced to ping.fm, I fell in love with the AIM and SMS reliability, when hellotxt didn’t really work as “reliable”. Well, here they are. Also, if you’d like to find EVERYSINGLE service I’m on, you can check my dandyid page.

- Twitter: A nice status updating site that, I happen to like because of it’s simplicity. Though it may be kinda’ ugly, it’s simple and just great.
- Youtube:YouTube is a video sharing website, started in 2005, where users can upload, view and share video clips. I happen to love watching videos and short films on the internet, youtube really fits my needs. I love videos, I think, maybe, it might be one of the things I take up in life. I have posted a couple videos on there, but, there all non-sense, so don’t mind the, “Amazing Kitty Dance” or all the other shenanigans. I don’t own a video camera at the moment, so there are only, I’d say, 8 second long silly clips.
- Last.fm: Last.fm, is a great, “Music Revolution” where, people can “scrobble” their music, and share it with the rest of the internet. The general concept is to post what you listen to and share it. You can also acquire friends. Then you can see what they are listening to. It’s really, a great site. This is one of the many networks I’m on, online, that I would recommend to everybody.
- Pownce: Well, in short, it’s just basically another status updating site, among many others, such as twitter, or plurk. I happen to use Pownce, because personally, I like it because of the website design. It’s just so tasty.
- Plurk!: Again, in short, another status update site that fits my needs, and is pretty. I like the customization in the pages/time line. It’s a nice update site, that is just, good. Also, I adore the fact that I can finally have a badge again! The badge being the box, on the right-hand side of the site. It gives a feel to how nice the site is when you actually go there.
- Facebook: A wonderful social online network, where I communicate with many of my coworkers and friends.
- Digg: Well, what can I say about digg, in a limited space. Honestly, it’s pretty much, almost, everything. It’s a news/information site. That really involves the users, and is just great.
- Myspace: Yes, sad to say it I have a myspace. :-\ I really, really only use it for mabye, one thing. I sometimes like to look at other people’s pictures. But, eh. I really don’t like the fact that I even have it. I’m probably going to be getting rid of it soon.
